Digital Skills & Computer Lab Initiative

Category: Youth Development
Project Status: Expanding Initiative (Pilot Phase Ongoing)
Impact Focus: Building workforce-ready digital skills among youth
Program Highlight: Computer training, digital literacy, and online earning pathways

Overview

The Digital Skills & Computer Lab Initiative is a forward-looking program designed to equip young people with essential digital competencies required in today’s technology-driven world. While the initiative has begun on a very small scale with limited equipment and resources, the demand and potential impact have highlighted the urgent need for expansion.

The program aims to bridge the digital divide by providing structured computer education, practical technology training, and exposure to online income opportunities for youth from underserved communities.

Current Pilot Phase

At present, basic computer training is being conducted with minimal infrastructure and a limited number of devices. Despite resource constraints, early results have demonstrated strong interest and promising outcomes among participants.

However, the current setup restricts the number of students who can enroll, the variety of courses offered, and the depth of practical learning. To reach more youth and deliver high-quality digital education, the initiative requires expanded facilities, modern equipment, and enhanced instructional support.
