Sewing & Vocational Training Center

Category: Skills Development & Livelihood
Status: Ongoing Program
Impact Focus: Promoting economic empowerment through skill development and sustainable livelihoods

Overview

The Sewing & Vocational Training Center is a transformative initiative designed to equip women and youth from underprivileged communities with practical, income-generating skills. The program focuses on providing market-relevant vocational training, particularly in sewing, tailoring, and related trades, enabling participants to secure employment or establish their own small businesses.

By addressing unemployment and limited access to technical education, the center empowers individuals to break the cycle of poverty and build stable, self-reliant futures.

Training Center

The training center provides free of cost and accessible hands-on instruction in tailoring, garment construction, embroidery, and basic fashion design. Structured courses are delivered by qualified instructors in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Priority is given to women from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, single mothers, school dropouts, and unemployed youth. Many trainees receive free or subsidized training based on financial need.

The program emphasizes not only technical skill development but also confidence-building, discipline, and entrepreneurial thinking to prepare participants for long-term success.
